Novaberde |
Sırbistan'da Priştina'nın 14Km doğusunda bulunan Novaberde, altın ve
gümüş yatakları bakımından zengin bir ticaret merkezi idi. Burası ilk
defa II.Murad zamanında 1441'de (841 AH) Osmanlılar tarafından
fethedilmişse de Segedin Muahedesi ile tekrar sırplara verilmişti.
1455'de (859 AH) Osmanlı Hükümeti bir önceki başarısızlığını
telafi etmek üzere tekrar sefere çıkmştır. Fatih Sultan Mehmed'in
şahsen idare ettiği bu seferde, Kratova'ya gelindiğinde madenleri ile
meşhur Novaberde'nin de alınmasına karar verilmiş, 40 gün kadar süren
kuşatmadan sonra şehir ele geçirilmiştir. |
A city 14 km east to Pristina, Serbia and Montenegro. Due to high
resources of silver and gold it quickly became on Ottoman commerce
centre. It was first conquered under the reign of Murad II in 1441AD
(841AH) and given back on the treaty of Segedin in 1455AD (849AH).
Since the Ottomans could not bear the loss they decided to conquer the
lands back and to annexe it to Ottoman land. Mehmed II ordered the
attack on Kratova and once it was conquered he decided to conquer
Novaberde again. The Ottomans conquered it after 40 days of siege.
